Early Childhood professions look to the future

Label Parties Prenantes du Geiq Petite Enfance Animation HDF par Rate A Company

Samir Amor Teba, director of GEIQ PEA, didn't hesitate to have his young team trained in CSR. With a 3-year-old structure and 45 employees in the Early Childhood sector in the Hauts-de-France region, he wanted to embark on a sustainable approach that would benefit the children his structure looks after today.

Following a phone call, the decision was not long in coming. With financial support from his OPCO, Samir brought his team together to tackle CSR issues with the help of Rate A Company, CSR experts for GEIQs in France.

"With the support of Rate A Company, our training and auditing experience has enabled GEIQ PEA to combine respect for the environment and the social aspect in our company's strategy"  Samir Amor Teba

With a score of 4.11 out of 5 obtained for the CSR label: rating by stakeholders, Geiq stakeholders valued the Geiq's know-how and the young structure's commitment to ethics.

Yet, the GEIQ brand still lacks definition in the eyes of stakeholders. With a lower participation rate, the GEIQ's actions in terms of training, back-to-work schemes, the provision of qualified staff to the region's day-care centers, and all the support mechanisms have yet to find their place. Among future initiatives, the focus is on creating a brand and brand awareness, in particular to promote the company's employees.

With stakeholders little aware of the notions of sustainable development, some projects involving donations between parents or raising awareness of gender equality within households have not met with the expected success. These initiatives will require an educational approach beforehand to ensure that GEIQ's CSR efforts are not in vain, and that stakeholders play along.

We asked Samir Amor Teba what his priorities were following the audit, and here's his response:

"We want to :
- Remotivate stakeholders by giving them clear, rewarding projects.
- Encourage employees and stakeholders to contribute to the company's vision, adhere to its values and to the projects put forward by its managers.
- Work on GEIQ mapping and a calendar of events for greater local visibility
- Make our company more visible on the Internet and social networks
- Communicate on our governance
- Differentiate ourselves from the competition"

This is a line of development that will be submitted to stakeholders in 18 months' time during the follow-up audit and as part of the labeling process.
