Moleskine is a brand of notebooks featuring an elasticated flap, which originally had a waxed canvas cover inspired by a specific fabric known as ‘moleskine’. The brand has also branched out into related accessories such as pens and pencils, cases for tablets, and so on.
The Moleskine trademark was registered in 1997 by the Italian company Modo & Modo1. In 2006, Syntegra Capital, an investment fund owned by Société Générale, acquired Modo & Modo for €60 million, whilst a company called Moleskine Srl was established. At the end of September 2016, the D’Ieteren Group took control of the brand.

J'aime bien les carnets Moleskine et je trouve qu'ils tiennent bien mais je me suis rendu compte que je ne savais pas où et comment ils étaient fabriqués et ce qui justifie son prix bien supérieur aux autres carnets... Ils disent être une entreprise engagée mais à part la mention papier issu du bois FSC, on ne sait pas trop comment ils s'engagent
