Rate the CSR impact of
Geiq BTP Herault

GEIQ BTP Hérault, established in 1997, is a not-for-profit organisation bringing together companies facing recruitment challenges.

Our employers’ group aims to promote sustainable employment in our region by helping people who are distant from the labour market to enter the workforce and gain qualifications. We support young people without qualifications, the long-term unemployed, refugees, people on probation… as well as those undergoing career change, for example.

Indeed, to fulfil its mission, the organisation offers work-based learning programmes (professional training contracts or apprenticeships) in partnership with training organisations. This work-based learning approach enables personalised support, supervised by a mentor from the host company and a mentor from the organisation. Employees are thus trained in a trade within the construction or civil engineering sector: formwork carpenter, pipeworker, or road and utilities mason, for example. At the end of their programme, employees have the opportunity to obtain a professional qualification.

Upon completion of their programme, 70 per cent of employees on a GEIQ contract sign a permanent contract in the construction and civil engineering sector.

Recognised by employment and training partners, GEIQ BTP Hérault recruits people wishing to undertake work-based training in the construction and civil engineering trades. Employees are made available to the association’s member companies to help address their recruitment challenges.

Working on behalf of its member companies, GEIQ BTP Hérault forms part of the national GEIQ network and meets the Label’s standards every year.
